What do you want to be remembered for?

I think this quote is a tad dramatic, but it did get me thinking about legacy – What we want to be remembered for.
One of my meditation teachers last week was talking about “resume qualities” vs “obituary qualities”.
Do you want to be known for being efficient and hard working or kind and thoughtful?
Our society focuses a lot on resume qualities, and I feel the tide is shifting towards valuing obituary qualities. Which is a really, really great thing.
When you’re not sure of what you’re doing, or more importantly, why you’re doing it, ask yourself if you’re being led by a resume or an obituary quality. And try to adjust to be led by what is most appropriate.
When in doubt, go for kindness. Always go for kindness.
